Built for hot-weather road and trail running. The Coastline Short II uses a recycled ripstop face that sheds water and dries in minutes, with a liner that stays put over long distances.

  • Dries in minutes: The recycled face fabric holds almost no water, so a river crossing or a downpour costs you a kilometre, not an hour.
  • Liner that stays put: A bonded, flatlock-seamed brief liner with a wide gusset. No ride-up, no chafe on runs past two hours.
  • Three usable pockets: Two zipped hip pockets sized for a phone and a rear key pocket that does not bounce when loaded.
  • Reflective detailing: Low-profile reflective piping at the hem and rear pocket for early starts and evening finishes.

Available in five colorways and sizes S through 4XL. Machine wash cold, hang dry. No fabric softener, which clogs the water-repellent finish.

Why runners keep buying it

  • Weighs 118 g in a size medium, liner included.
  • Two years of daily testing before the fabric was signed off.
  • Repairs offered for the first three years, free of charge.
  • Made in a solar-powered facility in northern Portugal.

Fit:
true to size, no ride-up over 20 km
Comfort:
liner is the best I have used
Quality:
flatlock seams are clean inside and out

Third pair. I stopped experimenting after the first one. Dries on the walk back from a wet long run, and the rear pocket actually holds a key without slapping. Ordered a size up on my partner's advice and regretted it, so trust the chart.

Fit:
slightly roomy in the leg
Comfort:
no chafing on a half marathon

Light and quick to dry. Took a star off because the waistband cord is short once you tie it, but it has not come undone once.

Fit:
runs small
Quality:
fine so far

Good shorts, wrong size for me. The chart says S fits a 30in waist; on me it was more like 29. Swapping for an M.

The Bone colour shows every mark and a grass stain would not come out at 30 degrees. Fit and fabric are fine; pick a darker colour.

Seam on the liner came apart after three washes. Support replaced them within a week, which is the only reason this is not a rant.
